I really don’t know the particulars of the Amanda Knox case, other than that GMA on ABC seems more obsessed with it than with Dancing With The Stars.
Granted, there always is a particular fascination with murder cases. Usually the trials involve celebrities. But this case had some 5-hour ENERGY spike to it because U.S. citizens in foreign lands sometimes find the justice systems to be, shall I say, slightly blind toward ugly (not that Knox is ugly, mind you) Americans.
Ever catch Midnight Express? Enough to make you burn your passport.
Anyhoo, an Italian court has overturned the conviction of the 24-year-old Knox. She was found not guilty of killing her British roommate, 21-year-old Meredith Kercher, in 2007.
Knox had been sentenced to 26 years. Serious doubts had emerged over the evidence used to convict her.
Whether justice was served either way, I do not know. But I do know there has to be a book and movie in all of this. And who knows? Knox soon may be on Dancing With The Stars.
