Atheism Tebowed

Do you believe in Jesus?

Perhaps you should.

Tim Tebow does.
The Good Lord, I believe, had more than just a passing hand in the miracle Tebow wrought on Sunday.
How else do you explain how a guy who doesn’t have the passing arm to deliver a hall pass damned the Steelers’ top-ranked passing defense in an I Can’t Believe My Eyes monumental 29-23 upset overtime playoff win by the Broncos?
Tebow took all our breath away by launching squealing pigskins deep into the thin Denver heavenly air. Man, even Zeus never flashed lightning bolts like that!
Tebow threw for a career-high 316 (3:16 ring a celestial bell?) yards and two touchdown passes, including hitting Demaryius Thomas in stride about 20 yards downfield, then watched as Thomas raced for a Fall On Your Knees 80-yard touchdown to climax the shortest overtime period in NFL history (just 11 seconds),.
This truly was a miracle of Biblical proportions, especially in the context that Pittsburgh had surrendered just a league-low two passes of 40 yards or more in the regular season.
Tebow blew that away in a second quarter where his bombs were multiplying like loaves and fishes. He uncorked four big-play passes in lightning fashion, completing five of his nine passes in the quarter for a whopping 185 yards, an astonishing 37-yard average completion.
Tebow started with a 51-yard strike down the left side to Thomas, came right back with a perfect 30-yard touchdown pass to Eddie Royal two plays later, then fired a 58-yarder to Thomas on the following Denver drive, and a 40-yard pass to tight end Daniel Fells that help set up another Broncos’ field goal drive later in the quarter
All told, Denver scored on its four meaningful possessions of the quarter, reeling off 20 unanswered points to take a surprising 20-6 halftime lead. The Steelers wound up giving up more passing yards in that quarter (185) than they allowed on average in games this season (171.9).
It were as if Moses had just parted the Red Sea, which hadn’t been as vaunted as that Steelers’ D.
Thank you Jesus for allowing all of us to witness and believe!
