Can Congress spring free from gridlock?

Spring is a time for renewal and hope. It’s also a time for spring cleaning but I do my best to avoid that.

So let’s get back to the renewal bit. Could renewal even happen in Washington with Congress returning from spring break?

Don’t scoff. Miracles can break a sweat. Immigration reform, gun control legislation and a big budget deal are all on the agenda.

If the forces of partisanship and ego can be chained in a Capitol Hill dungeon for once, perhaps lawmakers can come to an agreement on even one of these big issues.

Then hope for a better tomorrow really would sprout like dandelions.

  1. Comments aren’t exactly sprouting like dandelions. 🙂
